Senem Zeytinoğlu-Saydam is an assistant professor of psychology at Özyeğin University in İstanbul, Turkey. She completed her PhD at Drexel University’s couple and family therapy program and is the recipient of Ivan Boszormenyi-Nagy, Social Justice Award. Her doctoral dissertation was a phenomenological study of couples raising a young child with cleft lip and/or palate. Following graduation, she returned to İstanbul and continues to work in research and clinical practice with children and families coping with craniofacial conditions and other chronic illnesses. She is currently involved in the Cost Action CA16234 “European Cleft and Craniofacial Initiative For Equality in Care” as an MC member from Turkey.
