Elisabeth Willadsen is a Speech and Language Pathologist who has worked with children with cleft palate since 1995. She completed her doctoral thesis “From babbling to early speech in children with cleft lip and palate”, and early speech development of children with cleft palate is a main research interest. She has been a faculty member at the University of Copenhagen since 2008 and was appointed as a professor in 2016. She is working as a co-PI on the international NIHCDR-funded randomized controlled trial, Timing of Primary Surgery for cleft palate (TOPS). She is also a member of the core speech group in the internationl randomized control trial, the Scandcleft study.
