Marc Swan was appointed as a Cleft Surgeon at the Spires Cleft Centre in Oxford in 2014 having undertook specialist cleft training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Marc Swan is committed to training the cleft surgeons of the future – both in the UK and the developing world. Marc Swan is also passionate about research, with a focus on improving aesthetic and functional outcomes in children with orofacial clefts by incorporating patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) into everyday clinical practice and harnessing the potential for machine learning for the objective measurement of cleft outcomes.
