Edwin Ongkosuwito became an orthodontist in 2001. He worked at the Erasmus Medical center in the craniofacial team and headed the department of Orthodontics. His main focus is on congenital craniofacial malformations including oral clefts in clinical care and research In 2015 he returned to the Radboud University Medical Center and is a member of the Radboud UMC Cleft team and Radboud UMC Craniofacial team. He is the deputy director of the postgraduate program in Orthodontics. He is involved in student and postgraduate student education. He is head of the expertise center for congenital Dental Malformations at the Radboud UMC. In his research he focuses on improvement of each person’s care by using novel 3D imaging methods and Oral Health related Quality of Life measures.
